Our story

about the studio

818 Crafts began as a folding table, a box of pressed flowers and a group of friends who wanted an excuse to make something with their hands. Today it's a bright little studio on Clarendon St where we pour resin, paint pottery, mend ceramics with gold and hand-fill candles — usually with music on and snacks nearby.

Every workshop is beginner-friendly. We set out the materials, walk you through each step and let you take your piece home the same day (glazed pottery comes back to you after firing). No experience, no expectations — just a couple of hours to make something that exists nowhere else.

We share our building with our studio-mates at MahjongWise, so on any given week you might walk in on a resin pour on one side and a lively Mahjong table on the other.
